Tickets & Venue

Where will the BIFF take place?

The BIFF screenings will be held at the Corvin Cinema.

How can I buy a ticket for the BIFF?

You can purchase tickets for the BIFF screenings online through the Corvin Cinema's website or in person at the Corvin Cinema box office starting October 2.

What types of tickets are available?

During the first phase of ticket sales, a limited number of Early Bird tickets are available for each screening (except for two films in the Special Screenings section, The Brutalist and Kneecap) for 3100 HUF. Once this allocation runs out, or starting October 11, regular tickets can be purchased for 3900 HUF each. Additionally, there are a limited number of 30 passes available.

What is an Early Bird ticket?

The Early Bird ticket offers a discount for those who want to secure their ticket right when sales start. Compared to the full-price ticket of 3900 HUF, it costs 3100 HUF and is available in limited quantities. From October 11, only full-price tickets will be available for the screenings. The Early Bird discount is available for all films presented at the BIFF, except for the two films in the Special Screenings section, The Brutalist and Kneecap.

Is there really a pass available?

The first BIFF program has been designed so that you can potentially watch all the films during the festival's six days. If you're not a huge film fan but really want to see many films and simply can’t decide which ones to choose, then the BIFF pass is for you. With the BIFF pass, you can attend any and all screenings, as long as you follow these four simple rules:

1. Buy your pass in advance.
Passes can only be purchased online during the Early Bird period, and they are available in limited quantities, so it’s advisable to get yours as soon as possible. After payment, you will receive a QR code via email. Make sure to keep it.

2. Collect your personalized wristband in person on the first day of BIFF at the Corvin.
On October 29, during the Corvin cinema's opening hours, you can collect your wristband at the BIFF desk by presenting your QR code. The wristband will be placed on you at the venue.

3. If you want guaranteed seating, register at the Corvin at least half an hour before the screening.
As a pass holder, we guarantee you will get into even the most popular films. However, you must collect your ticket in person at the BIFF desk at the Corvin no later than half an hour before the screening starts. You can also collect tickets for other screenings that interest you on that day. Please only collect tickets if you truly intend to watch the films, so you don’t take the opportunity away from others.

4. If you just arrive in time for the screening and can't register?
If there are available seats in the theater, we will let you in.

Why can't I choose my seat?

At BIFF, we do not sell assigned seats; viewers can choose their seats in the order of their arrival.

Can I transfer my ticket to someone else?

Except for the pass, tickets are transferable, but entry is granted only to the person who presents the valid QR code first.

press accreditation

Will there be press registration?

Yes, there will be an opportunity for press accreditation for up to 10 people per screening.

I just started a blog; can I register too?

We are very happy to see every BIFF appearance, but since we can only reserve limited space for the press, applications will be reviewed individually.

How long can I register?

We will accept accreditations until October 22 via this link. We will respond to successful registrations by email, no later than October 25.
